Sassaia Description
A Super Piedmont blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo and Barbera. It is purplish blue with an inviting nose and full body. Scents of bell pepper, blackberry, licorice and chocolate emerge as the wine opens. The well-rounded and confident nature is best explained by the blend of varietals, hand harvest, hand sorting and strict temperature control throughout the wine making process. Typically, it ages 12 months in 80% neutral French Oak that is maintained at 5 C / 40 F for the winter in our temperature-controlled cellar. Decant and serve at 60-65F.
