Aged in 50% new and 50% one year old wine barrels Les Rogelins offers an intense, high-toned nose of ripe blackberry and balsamic smokiness. Grapes for Les Rogelins come from best single plot owned by Legrand. Deep, rich and expansive on the palate with dense tannins that are impressive for Cabernet Franc, featuring licorice, bell pepper, ripe blackberry fruit, cinnamon, vanilla and dried violet inner-mouth florality with subtle minerality. This should be worthy of a decade or more of bottle age.
